Terms of Service
By creating an account or using birhana.vercel.app (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, not to hide things.
1. What Birhana is — and is not
Birhana is a trading journal: software for recording, analyzing, and reviewing your own trading. It shows you statistics computed from data you provide.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account per person; keep your credentials secret. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Give accurate information, especially the email used for support and payment matters.
3. Plans & payments
- The free plan and paid plans are described on the pricing page; features may evolve.
- Payments are made via telebirr transfer and verified against the official receipt. Access is granted once the receipt verifies. Discount codes apply at the moment of purchase only.
- Founding-trader pricing is locked for as long as the same subscription remains active.
- Made a mistake (wrong amount, double payment)? Contact support within 7 days and we'll make it right. Otherwise, payments for time already granted aren't refundable.
4. Your content
- Your journal — trades, notes, screenshots — remains yours. You give us only the license needed to store, process, back up, and display it to you in order to run the Service.
- If you publish something to the Community or share a public snapshot, you're choosing to make that content visible to others; don't include anything you don't want seen.
- You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
5. Fair use
Don't: abuse, spam, or harass anyone; attempt to access other users' data or bypass security; scrape, resell, or white-label the Service; upload unlawful content; use Birhana to defraud prop firms, brokers, or other traders; or interfere with the Service's operation.
6. Enforcement
We may warn, suspend, or ban accounts that break these terms — including automated bans for abuse patterns. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why. You can appeal via support.
7. Third-party names & integrations
Prop firm, broker, and tool names appear in Birhana for compatibility — we track their public rules and import your fills. Their trademarks belong to their owners; no endorsement or partnership is implied unless we say so explicitly. Integrations (Notion, MetaTrader 5, and similar) are governed additionally by those providers' own terms.
8. Availability & changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard on reliability — including local backups of your journal — but we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and features may change as Birhana grows.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows: we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes will first be attempted in good faith through support; failing that, the courts of Addis Ababa have jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we'll announce it in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Birhana after that means you accept the new terms.
